Window, Siding & Sunroom Installation in Fuquay-Varina, NC
Quality siding that protects your home and looks great. Over 40 years of local experience.
Fuquay-Varina is one of the fastest-growing towns in Wake County. New construction is everywhere. But the older parts of town near the historic Fuquay Springs area and along Judd Parkway have a different set of needs. These homes have original windows and siding that are well past their prime.
We serve Fuquay-Varina homeowners with custom window replacement, siding installation, and sunroom construction. Harland Windows & Siding has worked across the Triangle for over 40 years. We know southern Wake County homes and what it takes to protect and improve them.

Energy-Efficient Window Replacement
Are your windows hard to open? Do you feel outside air even when they're fully closed? Have your energy bills crept up without a clear reason? Each of those points back to windows that are no longer doing their job.
We replace old windows with custom Heat Mirror high-efficiency windows. Heat Mirror technology uses a suspended film between panes to reduce heat transfer. The same principle used in high-performance commercial buildings, now available for residential homes. The difference in comfort is noticeable from day one.
We handle whole-house replacements and single-window projects. Every window is built to order and measured to fit your exact openings.
Last year, we replaced windows on a 1995 home near Bella Casa. The owner, Mark T., said the back of his house got so much afternoon sun that the living room was hard to sit in by 4 p.m. all summer. After we installed Heat Mirror windows, he noticed the room stayed comfortable through dinner, even on the hottest days.
Bella Casa and other neighborhoods near the historic Fuquay Springs area have a mix of older homes from the 1990s and 2000s. Lakestone and other newer communities went up more recently, so their windows have more years left. If your home is on the older side, it may be time to check.
Not sure if your windows need replacing? Watch for these signs:
- Rooms on the sunny side of your house feel hot even with the AC running.
- You see fog or moisture trapped between the panes.
- Windows are hard to lift, lock, or keep open.
- Cold air settles near the windows in winter.
- Your energy bills have crept up with no clear reason.
- Frames show cracking, rot, or warping.
"Worked directly with the owner, courteous and attentive. Top-quality work, with post-install follow-up."

Siding Installation & Replacement
Southern Wake County gets full sun, heavy summer humidity, and occasional ice storms in winter. Siding takes a beating here. Vinyl installed 15 to 20 years ago often shows it. Faded color, brittle spots, warped panels near the roofline where heat builds up.
We don't patch or paint over failing siding. We remove it entirely, look at what's underneath, fix any moisture damage, and install new material that will protect your home for years. A proper siding job starts before the first new panel goes up.
Sunroom Construction & Conversions
The outdoor space behind a home in this area should be usable. For much of the year, it isn't. Not without swatting bugs or sweating through a shirt. A sunroom changes that.
We build EzeBreeze sunrooms using PGT Industries' vinyl panel system. Open the panels when the weather cooperates. Close them when it doesn't. The conversion from a screen porch is straightforward, and the result is a space you can actually use from spring through fall. Want to use it in December too? We build fully insulated, heated sunrooms with Heat Mirror glass for true year-round comfort.
"Professional, courteous, excellent work. We felt comfortable leaving them in our home."

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the signs that siding needs replacing?
Look for warping, cracking, or bubbling panels, especially on south- and west-facing walls that get the most sun. Soft spots near the base of the wall or around window frames often mean moisture has gotten in. Faded color alone doesn't always require replacement, but when fading comes with brittleness, the material is past its service life.
Do you work on older homes near the historic Fuquay Springs area?
Yes. We regularly work on older homes throughout the Triangle, including properties with non-standard window sizes and original exterior features. Custom-built windows are actually an advantage on older homes. We measure to the actual opening, whatever size it is, and build accordingly.
How long does a window replacement project take from start to finish?
After your estimate and order, there is a lead time while your windows are manufactured to order. Installation itself typically takes one to two days for a full-house project. We'll give you a clear timeline at the time of your estimate so there are no surprises.
Is an EzeBreeze sunroom the same as a four-season room?
No. An EzeBreeze sunroom is a three-season room. It handles spring, fall, and mild winter days well, but it does not have insulated walls or a heating system. A four-season room is fully insulated and climate-controlled. Both are strong options depending on how you plan to use the space and what your budget allows. We build both.
What is the difference between Heat Mirror windows and standard double-pane windows?
Standard double-pane windows use two pieces of glass with a gap of air or gas between them. Heat Mirror windows add a thin, suspended film inside that gap. That film reflects more heat than a second pane of glass alone, so the window blocks more heat in summer and holds more warmth in winter. The frame and installation steps are the same either way. The difference is in how much temperature swing the window stops before it reaches your room.
What kind of warranty comes with new windows, siding, or a sunroom?
Our windows carry a manufacturer's warranty that covers the glass, seals, and hardware against defects. Installation labor is also covered, so if something is not right because of how a unit was put in, we come back and fix it. Siding and sunroom projects carry similar manufacturer and workmanship coverage. We go over the exact terms for your project during your free estimate, so you know what is covered before you sign anything.
Do you offer financing for window, siding, or sunroom projects?
Yes. We offer financing options for homeowners who want to spread out the cost of a project. Monthly payment plans can make a whole-house window replacement or a new sunroom easier to fit into your budget. Ask about current financing options and rates when you schedule your free estimate.
